Little Dahl-ling Blog Switch

I started this blog when I was pregnant with Canon to remember the little fun things about being pregnant and to keep track of his milestones as he grew. I think, since the milestones are now fewer and farther between...and I'd like to include Canon's activities in the family blog in order to actually have something to put on that blog, I'm going to make the shift now. This "Little Dahl-ling" blog will no longer be entirely about Canon, but it will be entirely about the newest little Dahl-ling- who here on out will be referred to as CCD until we can find out the gender and agree on a name. My main reason for doing this will (hopefully) be to compare the different stages of pregnancy and development between each of my children. I sometimes wonder how mothers can remember at how many months a child started walking and talking and things like that after so many years...and so many children.

So, here's to hoping that this will help me remember some of the most precious memories of my children's lives!

Canon's Growth and Milestones

11/01/2011- Canon turns 2 years old today! Over the past month and a half he has made many 2-3 word sentences. He is so smart and sweet!!
9/19/2011- Canon strung a 2-word sentence for the first time today. He was looking in an empty bag where there used to be toy cars and said, "No car!"
9/9/2011- Canon got a toddler bed (a blue car) and has loved the change out of the crib. He transitioned very quickly and loves the bed. For some reason he still waits for someone to come get him when he wakes up.
6/13/2011- In case you haven't read the posts, Canon's language has really improved over the past couple months. He doesn't have many words that are pronounced correctly, but he usually gets his point across. He likes to talk a lot, but English seems to be a bit difficult for him to express himself. :)
6/13/2011- A little while ago I noticed two more teeth coming in. The K-9 teeth on his upper jaw are poking through, but they're taking their sweet time to come in. The k-9s on the bottom jaw came in around the same time, but they grew in faster.
3/19/2011- Canon has been a little testy lately, and I've just discovered that he has molars growing in on all 4 quadrants of his mouth. Not really sure which ones came first, but I think the bottoms are in farther than the tops. Yea for molars. Maybe he'll actually start eating better now! *crosses fingers
3/11/2011- So far Canon does not have any official words, but he will sign "milk" when he wants a drink (or if he wants pretty much anything, even if the milk is in his hand already). He also has started identifying and imitating animal sounds.
3/11/2011- Very shortly after teeth #s 5 and 6 were coming in, the 7th and 8th ones cut through on the bottom. I was actually surprised to rind them all the way cut through before I noticed them. He now has the four front teeth on both top and bottom.
